May 28, 2014 – The NIDDK Central Repository

As you probably know, CORI is fully funded by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), a part of the NIH. The NIDDK seeks to maximize the scientific benefit from its funded clinical studies by making the samples and data collected available to the scientific community through the NIDDK Central Repository. In accordance with the NIDDK Data Sharing policy, CORI will be contributing data from its National Endoscopic Database (NED) to the NIDDK Central Repository.

To do this, we are fully deidentifying the data collected in the NED. We will begin by submitting data captured using the CORI v3 Endoscopic Reporting System between 2000 and 2010, and will subsequently submit data from the current software, CORI v4. We will continue to perform the same high quality research and provide reporting and quality measurement services to you, but through the NIDDK repository other investigators will also have access to this valuable data. We are looking forward to this expanded use of our collective data.
